Perinatal Mental Health
(Pregnancy and Postpartum)

The transition into parenthood can be one of the most meaningful yet most challenging seasons of life. Whether you are pregnant, newly postpartum, or navigating the early years of parenting, you may find yourself experiencing emotions you didn’t expect.

 

I support clients through:

    •    Prenatal anxiety or overwhelm

    •    Postpartum depression and anxiety

    •    Birth trauma or difficult birth experiences

    •    Adjustment to parenthood

    •    Identity changes after becoming a parent

    •    Fertility challenges or pregnancy loss

Parenting Support

Parenting does not come with a roadmap, and it’s common to feel unsure, depleted, or stretched thin. Therapy can provide a space to reflect, problem-solve, and reconnect with your values as a parent.

 

Parenting sessions may include support with:

    •    Emotional regulation and patience

    •    Managing stress and burnout

    •    Navigating behaviour challenges

    •    Strengthening parent-child connection

    •    Co-parenting or relationship stress

    •    Balancing personal needs with caregiving demands

Teens and Adolescence

Adolescence is a time of rapid emotional, social, and identity development. Many teens experience anxiety, pressure, self-doubt, or difficulty managing emotions, and having a supportive therapeutic relationship can make a meaningful difference.

 

I work with teens experiencing:

    •    Anxiety or excessive worry

    •    School stress or academic pressure

    •    Low mood or self-esteem concerns

    •    Friendship or social challenges

    •    Family conflict

    •    Emotional regulation difficulties

    •    Life transitions

General Individual Adult Counselling

In addition to perinatal and parenting work, I also provide support to adults navigating a wide range of life experiences and challenges.

    •    Life transitions and identity changes

    •    Relationship challenges

    •    Burnout and overwhelm

    •    Self-confidence and personal growth

    •    Emotional regulation

Virtual Sessions

All sessions are offered virtually through secure video on the Jane platform.

Virtual therapy allows you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space, without the need to travel or arrange childcare. Many clients find that online therapy to be flexible, convenient, and just as effective as in-person sessions. 

​

I am licensed to provide virtual psychotherapy to any client located in Ontario.
